Online Drivers Ed Illinois 18 To 20 - Why Emphasize Safe Driving?
If there is one thing which Drivers Education of America
emphasizes then it would have to be the vital importance of safe driving. While safe driving may not be flashy or fun
for your friends, we have decades of experience confirming that being a safe
driver truly is the most important thing you can do when you get behind the
wheel. While safe driving cannot
guarantee that you will be 100% safe, it will help increase the odds
dramatically that you get to and from your destination safely and reduce the
risk of harm to you and others – both physically and financially.
While Drivers Education of America teaches the SOS-approved online adult driver education course (for those ages 18, 19, and 20), meeting the State's guidelines for driver education, the course truly emphasizes how and why to focus on safe driving at all times.
The State of Illinois has seen in recent years some horrific
accidents and other problems due to drivers who don’t have safety at the top of
their minds. Some of these incidents
include:
- Dying in an accident
- Permanent injury from an accident, including
paralysis or loss of sight or loss of the use of limbs
- Killing and/or injuring other people; and facing jail time as a result
- Damaging someone else’s property
- Hefty fines for speeding, impaired driving, and
more
- Loss of one’s license – which can lead to job
loss, harm to your relationships, and inability to get basics like food and
medical care
- Creating damage to your vehicle which will
reduce its effectiveness, cost you unexpected money and time for repairs, and
hurt the resale value of your automobile or truck
-
Inability to rent a car in the future
- Increased insurance costs
- Several other concerns
The reasons vary widely as to why someone isn’t practicing
safe driving techniques. Here are just
some of the reasons:
- Tired and shouldn’t be driving
- Influenced by alcohol or drugs
- Affected by prescription or over-the-counter
medicines
-
Speeding and racing to get to an appointment
-
Had a bad day and are not focused on the road
-
Talking to friends or colleagues or customers,
where that conversation takes precedence over focusing on safe driving
-
Texting or checking the internet while driving
- Listening to music
-
Improper vehicle maintenance which causes an
accident – such as tires with negligible tread, bad brakes, no headlights,
windshield wipers don’t work, etc.
In Illinois there now are

only, to have been preventable. Please simply learn any lessons that you can
from these situations so that you increase the chances of being a safe driver
